What is a French door?

A French door is a pair of hinged glazed doors that meet in the middle with no fixed post between them, so both leaves open for a wide, unobstructed passage. Our impact French doors swing outward, the configuration hurricane codes favor because wind pressure pushes the leaves tighter into their seals.
